The TV ratings for the Cincinnati Reds on FOX Sports Ohio continue to heat up.

Reds games have averaged an 8.4 household rating this season through 58 games, according to Fox Sports Ohio. That means an average of more than 8 percent of all local households tuned in to some part of the Reds’ games this year.

The Reds’ recent hot streak has boosted ratings. They’re 10-6 in June and have opened a 3 1/2-game lead in the National League Central Division. That helped lift TV ratings to 9.5 in June.


Monday night’s opener of a three-game series against in-state rival the Cleveland Indians generated a 12.8 rating, their highest since Opening Day, Fox Sports Ohio spokeswoman Kate Buddenhagen said.

Kristine talks to Drew Stubbs at Lunch Bunch

For two weeks in May, FOX Sports Ohio viewers could enter to win the Lunch Bunch Sweepstakes, presented by Cincinnati Bell Fioptics. The prize was lunch with Cincinnati Reds outfield Drew Stubbs, Reds Live host Jim Day, and the FOX Sports Ohio Girls, as well as a 46" television.

To enter, fans had to "like" the FOX Sports Ohio Girls on Facebook and complete an entry form located at the Lunch Bunch tab on the Girls' facebook page.

The winner, Eric McGuire, redeemed his prize on June 7 at the Moerlein Lager House in Cincinnati.

Reds Fans, Are You Playing Along?

"Play Along With FSOhio" is a game on FOXSportsOhio.com where fans can compete against other fans in predicting player and team outcomes before and during Cincinnati Reds games. The top three players get their names displayed during Reds Live post-game show.

The game has been running each Tuesday as part of the Cincinnati Reds broadcast on FOX Sports Ohio.

Reds win hastag battle with Tigers; Promote All-Star voting

During their interleague series this past weekend, the Cincinnati Reds & Detroit Tigers promoted All-Star voting with a hashtag battle on Twitter - #VoteReds v. #VoteTigers. FOX Sports Ohio teamed with the Reds to support this effort on air and on social media, encouraging fans to tweet #VoteReds.

Aug. 18 Reds-Cubs Game 1

FOX Sports Ohio Picks Up Reds-Cubs Game 1 of Day/Night Double-Header on August 18 at 1pm


The June 10th Cincinnati Reds-Detroit Tigers game was recently selected for exclusive national broadcast, so it is no longer available to be part of FOX Sports Ohio’s Reds lineup.

As a make-up, please note that FOX Sports Ohio has picked up the Reds game on Saturday, August 18 at 1pm against the Chicago Cubs. The game will be preceded by Reds Live pregame show at 12:30pm and followed by Reds Live postgame edition.

This game is the first of a day/night double-header at Great American Ball Park, so FOX Sports Ohio will be back on the air that evening with Reds Live at 6:30pm as pregame coverage of the second game at 7pm.

FOX Sports Ohio Wins Emmy For Live Sporting Event

The National Academy of Arts & Sciences Great Lakes Chapter held its 43rd annual Emmy Award Gala this past Saturday, June 2 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With over 400 television anchors, reporters, producers, photographers, editors, and production from Cleveland, Akron, Mansfield, Toledo, Youngstown, Lima and Canton, Ohio; Indianapolis, Bloomington, Ft Wayne, Lafayette and Muncie, Indiana; and Erie, Pennsylvania in attendance, it was the largest Emmy Award Gala the NATAS Great Lakes Chapter has seen.

FOX Sports Ohio is proud to have won the Emmy Award for “Live Sporting Event / Game” with High School Football Game of the Week. Congratulations to Executive Producer Tom Farmer, Producer Jeff Platz, and Director Bob Pennell, as well as all members of the FOX Sports Ohio team, for producing such outstanding Northeast Ohio high school football coverage.

Sara Sings the Anthem at Crew Game

On Saturday, May 26th, FOX Sports Ohio Girl Sara sang the National Anthem at Columbus Crew Stadium before the Crew - Chicago Fire game. The Crew beat the Fire 2-1 in an exciting match. Here is a video of Sara's experience!

FOX Sports Ohio Picks Up June 14 Reds Game

As a make-up of the rained out game on May 1, FOX Sports Ohio will televise the Cincinnati Reds game on Thursday, June 14 against the Cleveland Indians. The game will begin at 12:30pm and will be preceded by Reds Live pregame show at 12 noon.

The game will also replay later that same night at 10pm and the following day, Friday, June 15 at 12 noon.
