Touring the All-Stars


FOX Sports Ohio, in partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers, organized a “Behind the Scenes Production Tour” for 16 students at Quicken Loans Arena in late March.

The students were members of the Columbus After-School All-Stars, an organization that provides free, quality comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and in life.

The tour, led by Quicken Loans Arena’s Dave Dombrowski, covered areas of The Q such as: the QTV control room and the FOX Sports Ohio production truck. After the tour, the students stayed to watch the Cavaliers’ victory against the Detroit Pistons!

Tait Tribute

Upon the retirement Joe Tait, long time Hall of Fame radio voice of the Cleveland Cavaliers, FOX Sports Ohio prepared to give a special good-bye. The effort resulted in solid ratings, improved web and social media interaction, increased media coverage and positive fan feedback.
  • A special tribute program, “Have A Good Night Everybody,” premiered following Joe’s final broadcast on Wednesday, April  13th when the Cavs hosted the Wizards. "Have a Good Night Everybody" was Joe's signature send-off.
  • FS Ohio simulcasted Joe’s live commentary during the 2nd half of the game.
  • FOXSportsOhio.com features a trailer (click on photo to watch) and bonus video clips of the program and personalized articles. The entire special will be available online soon.

Holy Grail Banks the new Reds Fan Cam hot spot!

FOX Sports Ohio has teamed up with Budweiser for another season of Reds Fan Cams.

Throughout the Reds season, FOX Sports Ohio and Budweiser will be hosting pregame events at the Holy Grail, located in the Banks downtown Cincinnati. Reds fans will have the chance to answer Reds trivia questions and be on TV with 96 Rock. The Fan Cam segments run during the postgame edition of Reds Live. T-shirts, magnets, keychains, koozies and more will also be given away at every event.

We invite all Reds fans to come out and participate. The Friday events run 6-7 pm. See below for the complete Fan Cam schedule:

The first event was on Opening Day, Thursday, March 31, and fans packed the Holy Grail to be part of the festivities and get ready for Reds baseball.


 







Tuesday's Special

It’s time for Reds baseball, and this season, fans can watch the Reds on FOX Sports Ohio AND get a great deal to head to Great American Ball Park and take in a live game.

In partnership with the Cincinnati Reds, FOX Sports Ohio is excited to announce Ticket Tuesday, a special promotion that will be offered to viewers every Tuesday Reds game all season long. Fans who tune into Reds games on Tuesdays will learn of a special deal offered by FOX Sports Ohio and the Reds.

It will be a limited time offer only available during that Tuesday’s telecast at Reds.com. Each new Tuesday Reds game on FOX Sports Ohio will bring a new exclusive ticket offer. So fans, tune in on Tuesdays and then hit up Reds.com to nab the Ticket Tuesday deal!

March To Opening Day Fuels Big Ratings

In preparation for Cincinnati Reds season, FOX Sports Ohio launched a preseason promotional campaign, “March to Opening Day,” to create excitement for the upcoming season.
* The campaign featured elements that fully integrated programming, production, marketing/PR, website and social media.
* The combined efforts of FOX Sports Ohio and WKRC on Reds Opening Day yielded a staggering 16.3 HH rating, beating first run prime shows. (The Reds won their first game of the season on a 3-run HR by catcher Ramon Hernandez in the bottom of the 9th.)
