The Morning Sports Report

FOX Sports Ohio was thrilled to be part of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission's "Morning Sports Report," presented by Marathon. The Morning Sports Report, held at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in Columbus, brings together and provides fans an inside look at Central Ohio’s teams and notable sports figures. Fans had the opportunity to be up close and personal with local sports celebrities in attendance, hear live sports interviews that could not be heard anywhere else and attend the Fan Fair.
Prior to the breakfast, a special VIP reception, presented by FSOhio, was held as well as a Fan Fair featuring a variety of mascots, booths and activities for the city's sports teams and organizations.

As the program began, Ohio State Head Football Coach Luke Fickell joined the general managers from the Blue Jackets, Clippers and Crew on stage for the team panel. OSU Head Basketball Coach Thad Matta was also interviewed, as well as GCSC Executive Director Linda Logan.
The highlight of the morning was when Jeff Rimer, FSOhio's Blue Jackets broadcaster, interviewed some of hockey's greatest ambassadors. Columbus Blue Jackets All-Star Rick Nash was joined by NHL Hall of Famer Dino Ciccarelli and Stanley Cup Champion and NHL TV Analyst Ed Olczyk on stage to talk hockey and the city of Columbus.

After the program, an autograph session with Nash, Ciccarelli and Olczyk was open to all guests. Pictures will hopefully be posted soon!

FOXSportsOhio.com streamed parts of the event LIVE and had several hundred viewers throughout the morning. Interviews with Thad Matta and videos were also shot at the event, which will be available at FOXSportsOhio.com.
