UC Bearcats Football on FSOhio

FOX Sports Ohio is excited to provide fans supporting coverage of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team.

UC Football programming in 2012 includes:

To kick off the season, the network presents a half-hour preseason look with Inside Bearcats Football 2012, premiering Tuesday, August 28th at 8:30pm, directly preceding Reds Live pregame show. Taped at the Bearcats’ preseason home at Camp Higher Ground in West Harrison, IN., the 30-minute show will feature in-depth interviews with the UC student-athletes and chats with Coach Butch Jones about his hopes for the team to secure the Big East Championship. The show will replay August 30th at 9:30pm, August 31st at 7pm, and several times during the first week of September leading up to the Bearcats’ first game.

This special preview is hosted by Tom Gelehrter, the University of Cincinnati’s Director of New Media and Broadcasting and a 2002 graduate of Syracuse University. He has worked for the past 12 years as a college sports broadcaster at Cincinnati, the University of Akron and Syracuse University. A Cleveland native, Gelehrter serves as sideline reporter for UC football broadcasts on 700-WLW and is the play-by-play voice for Bearcats broadcasts on FOX Sports Ohio.

FOX Sports Ohio is excited to produce the UC homecoming game v. Miami (OH) live from Nippert Stadium on Saturday, October 6 at 7pm in high definition. The game will also replay on FOX Sports Ohio on Sunday, October 7 at 11pm.

The coaches’ show, Bearcats Sports Weekly with Butch Jones, is hosted by Gelehrter, who will answer questions and provide analysis. This 30-minute show will air Thursdays at 6pm beginning Thursday, September 13. Additional replays will also be scheduled around the network’s programming later the same evening.
